Earthquake in New Zealand

6.4 magnitude earthquake hit New Zealand’s second largest City Christchurch and it devastated the City leaving 65 instant dead. Life is so uncertain; death is so near and so close to the mankind. All the hopes and dreams stopped instantly by the shake.

Only five months ago another earthquake hit New Zealand but with less casualties.

We can remind the major earthquakes in the earth:

1960, 22 May Valdicvia, Chile , Mag-9.5 fatalities-20,000

2004, 26 December Sumatra, Indonesia, Mag-9.3, causalities-300000

1964, 27 March, Alaska , Mag-9.2

1952, Kamchatka, Equador, Mag-9.0

1906, Mag-8.8

Man has nothing to do to handle this kind of major natural disaster. People are still helpless to the nature’s behavior.

So it looks like one big earthquake is enough to destroy this beautiful earth.

A divided nation

How can a divided nation be successfull?

Bangladesh is a small counrty, but has a large number of people. Recently it has inaugurated the large ceremony of ICC world cup 2011. Prime Minister of Bangladesh opened the inaugural ceremony. It was a ceremony to the world which represents Bangladesh.

But, Begam Khaleda Zia, the opposition leader of the counrty, who also was the Prime Minister of the country for the two times, was absent on that large occasion. She was invited only without any ticket where as Govt. MP's got 6 tickets per head.

'Normal courtesy to invite an opposition leader was not followed here' objection raised from the opposition.

This kind of occasion which represent a counrty is devided into two parts.

The people of the counrty is the power of the nation. If they are divided into parts how can they develop a country.

Muhammad Yunus

Muhammad Yunus, only person who got the nobel prize from Bangladesh , is recently become the annoying person to the Govt. of Bangladesh. In 2006 Yunus and Grameen Bank received the Nobel Prize for peace.

What's worng with Muhammad Yunus?
Being the only Nobel winner from the country, Muhammad Yunus should be the key respectible person in the whole country. He should be the model of the country. He shows the nation how to be a Nobel winner. He shows the rural people how to trun their fate by their own hand. So, he should be given proper respect and honor by the Govt. of the country. But instead of receiving honor he is receiving just the opposite.

Muhammad Yunus just born in a worng land. Though he shows how to fight with the poverty. Though he shows how to straggle with poverty and trun the poverty to the solvency. Though he shows the light of hope and happiness to the rural people, who are deprived from their basic need. He is still not justified by his own Government.

Some high profile people are just jealous of him. Jealous for his success. They think that all the success should go for them only.

Border skirmish!

Felani, 15 years old adolescent of Bangladesh

Is it a border skirmish? Is it a conflict between two neighboring countries? Is it an in fighting? Answer of all the questions are no. So, what’s happening here? What’s happening on the borderline between Bangladesh and India?

Felani, 15 years old adolescent, was gunned down by the BSF-Border Security Force of India. What was her fault? She was crossing the border illegally. She was crossing the barbed wire but unfortunately her garments were stick by the wire. She screamed in fare. That was all. Everything finished with her scream. Instantly, the patriot security force of India gunned down that innocent girl. She was hanging in the wire for more than four long hours. Her last drop of blood from her vein landed on the green grass. It turned into red. Red drops of blood on the green field created the map of Bangladesh. No one shouted for it. She is not belonging from any mighty or powerful country. She is telling her people I got my capital punishment. Don’t blame me as a cattle lifter. I was not a thief. I was only a Bangladeshi teen who is hanging there for long time. They don’t allow me to live in this beautiful earth, in this independent country.

Felani , please forgive us for our broken backbone. Forgive us for that we are even not able to morn for you. Forgive us being an independent nation we yet not able to make our sound louder enough to protest such brutal killing by our neighboring so called friendly country.

Our government is uttering again and again they are our trusted friends. They, India, helped us a lot to achieve our freedom. Now they must have the right to kill us. Kill us even for nothing. Our landslide victory Government even fails to protest for her soul. Have you rest in peace. No one is going to harm you again.
